- The Dancing With the Stars finale is coming up after the semifinals this week, so here’s a reminder of who is still left on the show!
- James Van Der Beek went home this week, despite being a frontrunner.
Usually, the only drama surrounding Dancing With the Stars is whether or not a fan-favorite celebrity with two left feet actually deserves to continue on in the competition, but this season managed to outdo all the rest. With controversial contestants like Sean Spicer on the roster and an early replacement for Christie Brinkley that attracted a lot of heat, this has been an incredibly bumpy season, as Karamo Brown can also attest to based on his ill-advised comments about the former White House press secretary.
But now that Sean Spicer was finally axed and James Van Der Beek was controversially eliminated last night, here are the remaining dancing partners heading into the finals:
Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber
The former Fifth Harmony singer is still riding high on receiving a perfect score dancing to her own song and is sure to impress next week. At the risk of sounding like a total cheeseball, she truly embodied that “BO$ ” banger.
Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten
According to Woman’s Day’s resident DWTS fanatic, Laura Hanrahan, the judges have been way too hard on Hannah, but she has Bachelor Nation on her side, so there’s hope she takes home that disco ball–looking trophy.
Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson
Kel got the first 10 of the season, and he’s been getting better and better each week. If anyone dares to ask me if he should win, I shall simply respond, “I do, I do, I doooo!”
Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko
Okay, Lauren broke three (3!!!) ribs this season, but she is still out here doing the damn thing. Honestly, if she doesn’t deserve a trophy after that, IDK who does.
And that brings you up to speed!
