- Meghan Markle surprised a group of charity workers by Skyping into their meeting with Prince Harry today.
- Meghan also mentioned that baby Archie was taking a nap while she was on the call. 😭
So far Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal tour of Africa has been going great—the Queen is reportedly “delighted” by how they’ve been handling the tour, baby Archie got to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and we all got to see some cute PDA moments between the Meg and Harry.
The royal couple planned to have Meghan and Archie be a part of the first leg of the tour in South Africa, and then stay there as Harry travels on to Malawi, Angola, and Botswana. But even though Meghan isn’t with Harry for this second part of the tour (he’s currently in Malawi), it looks like she still wanted to be involved as much as possible, cause she made a surprise Skype appearance at one of his events today.
According to Daily Mail, while Harry was visiting female charity workers at the Nalikule College of Education in Lilongwe, he said to the women, “I know there’s somebody else you’d far rather hear from than me, hopefully if technology doesn’t fail us you may see somebody on the screen.” And when Meghan came on the screen, the women began singing and Meghan clapped along, as you can see in this video:
Meghan then gave a little speech, which ended with her saying, “I wish I could be with you, we’re in South Africa right now, Archie’s taking a nap. I’m with you in spirit.” Aw, so cute—it seems like Meghan is really nailing this whole royal work/royal mom balance!
